Question by lunar_mistic: What chemical peel should I use for acne scarring? And is the Thermaclear tratment worth the money?
I have a light medium skin tone, and maybe only one or two scars on my face. I would like for there to be as few complications that follow afterwords. Also exactly how good is the Thermaclear treatment? Has anybody ever used it? Is it worth the 0?

Answer by jane B Personally, I like to try alternative treatments before going all out for a chemical peel. Garlic is supposed to work really well for acne scarring.

Question by ilykthx: Is it alright/worthwhile to get a chemical peel or a bacial to remove acne an scars?
I used to have pretty bad bacne and now I only have a few here and there. My prom is coming up and I have a dress that shows my back. I am wondering if it is alright or okay to get a bacial, and then maybe a week or two later a chemical peel to remove scarring? And also, how many days before prom should I do these?

Answer by Katie I actually work for an office that recently started doing facial peals on patients. I spoke with the doctor on the benefits and realized its a great idea. Ever wonder how movie stars look 30 when they are 50? If you start getting facial peals before you get sunspots or wrinkles it will prevent them from happening or at least be less severe. If you already have the facial blemishes it will improve their look. Ive seen it personally, I know believe me…. it works. The patients at our office didn’t have any residual redness… you couldn’t even tell other than the spots on their face where less noticeable. I had a girl have one done two days before her wedding and she looked great, so I would suggest at least two days just in case your skin is sensitive to the acid they use. Good Luck!
