I have severe acne scarring and am looking into having laser resurfacing done on my skin. I have tried looking on the internet to find info about Sacramento County doctors and have been unsuccessful. The amount of information out there is overwhelming and I’m not sure how to filter through it. I am looking for recommendations, ideas, suggestions, opinions, anything that will help. I am on a budget, a tight one, and although I know this might sound tacky, I am looking for someone who is willing to take payments and work with me.

If you have the deep, pitted scarring, then I’m sorry to say that lasers will do nothing for you. Those scars are “punched” out and refilled with skin grafts. Lasers are best for red scarring or raised scars.

Question by bobby: Has anybody gone through a laser treatment for their acne scars?
this is my story, i have a few and its fading away but its taking so long. sometimes i get depress, thats y i want to get a laser treatment for my acne scars and i wanna look like i did before
if you gone through laser treatment or knows somebody PLEASE Tell me your/their experiences
- how did it go for you?
-any side effects after the treatment?
- after the treatment, did you look like ur old self again?

My sister had the treatment done. I think she went in once every month. She had the usual side effects (redness, sensitivity to the sun, etc.) The last treatment was really painful and she looked like she got smacked with a fly swatter 
Most of the acne scars are now gone and her skin does look a lot better. She looks like the same person but is more confident. She does recommend it but you obviously have to take care of your skin after the treatment since you are still prone to breakouts and will get scars again if you’re not careful.
